Yeah, I know time is one of the biggest issues. Hopefully, you’ll be able to retake your lessons or start studying some other language.

I have taken Japanese classes! I was a total beginner, so it was easy to know my level. Luckily I had a good tutor; we got on well, and I really enjoyed their lessons. Sadly I had to quit as I no longer had spare time.

I’m considering French now.

There is a little bit of everything: good/bad teachers and good/bad tutors. We cannot generalize, but we need to be aware that some tutors have a lot of experience and shouldn’t be disregarded just because they don’t have a degree.

your site looks pretty cool and contains a well laid out theme. the content is very informative. when I saw the heading “the french street” I got caught up and I got interested to know more about it.

I personally love French in general, and the tips that you have given on choosing a good tutor I’m sure they are going to help many, personally they have helped me and now I’m going to get a better tutor

Thanks for these tips on finding a French tutor! I’ve learned some new things to consider when looking online 🙂

I have found that if you try one of those discounted demo classes, a good tutor will often message you after the class with things you need to work on or send a lesson plan if you were to carry on with classes with that tutor.

I think this gives you the encouragement to continue and also shows that they have listened to you and managed to ascertain what proficiency level you are at.

A demo also gives you a chance to see what their teaching style is like, and also if you like their personality and if you are likely to get on with them.
