I couldn’t have said it better myself. Learning shouldn’t always be standardized as we all learn differently. It’s better to adjust a model to the student’s needs and preferences.

Plus, I love the fact that there are a whole bunch of different tutors available both certified and non-certified. Furthermore, I love the flexibility. I mean, I’ve never believed in a standardized form of learning. The fact that you can arrange with the tutor how you want to learn and there is no preset anything, it’s just ideal for me. I think it’s the best way how to learn.

Other than that, the prices seem rather affordable. I’m really looking forward to using the platform. I loved that breakdown of pluses and minuses. I’m truly grateful for all the insight. 🙂

Yes, intermediate is somewhat vague. In answer to your question, I think it’s a good thing that there’s no set curriculum when it comes to certified teachers. Teachers know what their students need and are better able to adjust to their needs and preferences.

However, I think having a set curriculum wouldn’t hurt as long as teachers are able to adjust it as they deem necessary.

I learned so much from your website review of Preply about learning a language online!  I knew that there were many websites that offer the service but I knew little about it.  Your blog review was very imformative.  I especially liked that you delineated the differences between certified teachers and native speakers and how, in your opinion, a person giving the course needs to be an advanced speaker in order for you to really benefit from the instruction.  I tend to agree with you.  I think “intermediate” means what?  Something different to everyone I think.  I am wondering what you think about the certified teachers not having a required curriculum?  I would feel better knowing that there would be a prescribed way of learning a new language.  Just my opinion.

It’s also cool that they teach other subjects as well.
