I see what you mean. Living in a country where they speak a different language from yours is challenging. Fortunately, as you said, your husband has become your language partner. Since you have to talk to him in Spanish on a daily basis, that's a great way to practice. Keep it up!

I completely agree that learning a language is not an easy task. I have been living in Spain for almost 14 years now and I am so far from being fluent in speaking Spanish.:( And I also agree that having a language exchange partner is very helpful because there's a huge difference in speaking the language on a daily basis.

My spanish was so bad when I was still single and it improved a lot when I got married because I got to speak to my husband in spanish on a daily basis. It's like having a language exchange partner.:)

This is a really great article for anyone who's looking to learn another language. The only way you're really going to learn is through a lot of practice and what better way to practice than with someone who's native language is the one you are trying to learn? It's the perfect compliment to any books you may be reading or classes you may be taking as well, like you mentioned. Thanks for sharing this article.
