C’est and il est can be confusing. Even advanced speakers confuse them at times.

Because the difficulty here is to understand the concepts rather than the simple translation of the meaning of a word, it is more complex. In French class I always struggled particularly with the concepts of masculine and feminine. However whether we use C’est or ll Est, depending upon whether it precedes an adjective or noun does make more sense to me. Thanks for a very informative post.

WoW another teacher, I used to be a teacher too. Although as I was teaching in Bangladesh, China, Thailand and South Korea the linguistics were different also the phonetics.
