I understand your concern, but as long as you have a good antivirus, you shouldn’t have any problems. However, as you pointed out, it’s safer to use platforms like Netflix and Amazon Video.

In regard to the lower quality of current movies, I still prefer French movies over Hollywood ones. I love the French sense of humor and the way they portray drama. They’re definitely not good at horror movies. For that, we have Hollywood.

Generally speaking, it is true that current films are more mainstream. After all, it’s an industry that seeks to make money. The same concept applies to music and the whole entertainment industry. I don’t like it either, but it is what it is.

French Films.
The article is really useful and a great guide to the French film industry but I would excercise caution as some of the links lead to other links that seem unsafe to me.
Just be vigilant. I know that this is not within Enrique’s control as they are external links for which he is not responsible. I would say knowing what fims are available is really useful but do not try watching any of them from any links that suggest you can watch them for free. There is no such thing as a free supper !
Also, call me old-fashioned, but it seems to me that, in the same way as the film industry in general has deteriorated badly, so has the French film industry unfortunately. There are gems amongst mountains of dross, but the gems seem to be fewer with every passing year. Film makers seem to me to be deperate for worthwhile content,scripts and actors. Some of the films are just so trivial as to be laughable. It’s very sad as the French used to make some of the best films in the world. As I said earlier, the decline is a universal one to the point that I would suggest 85% of the content on Netflix is the film equivalent of ‘pulp fiction’ in the book world. I hasten to add that this is my opinion and one that many do not share. But for what it’s worth that is my view on films today.

Yes, apps are very convenient for many reasons. Luckily, many of them are free, so there are no excuses for not learning a new language.

I love the French language. I think it is one of the most beautiful languages in the world. I started learning it as a kid but over time I forgot. When I wanted to set up I installed the app on my phone and very easily got back to work again. Applications allow us to devote as much time as we can depending on our free time, we are not fixed for timing, there are many space applications. All in all a great thing for any language you love!
